Our students of class 9 got an opportunity to visit “DGQA proof range complex”, Avadi to view the equipment display organised by CVRDE to commemorate the 75 years of independence “AsadiKa Amrit Mahotsav”.A group of 49 students along with two teacher escorts visited DGQA, Avadi on 13th December 2021. In first section, a commander explained about Tank-T-72 Ajeya, which was originated in Russiain 1972 and it was inducted in India during 1980.
Next section was on the grandeur display of Arjun Arrv vehicle, which is used to recover and repair disabled combat tanks. It is designed and developed by DRDO /CVRD Eundermade in India project. They showcased an extensive demonstration on working process ofDAQ (engineering equipment)
Our students walked past & marveled the innovative display of water pumps & itsparts used in utility tanks. They also enjoyed the mini versions of ArjunMbt Mk, carrier command post treated& carrier mortarthacked.
Finally, students shared their spectacle experience of various displays and demo through short descriptions with their signature on the display board. The commandos expressed their gratitude by offering snacks & keychains.
In fact the experience was a great treat for our students who got a first-hand familiarization with the military equipments.
Despite the pandemic scenario, the visit was a novel learning experience for the students, as they were introduced to the significance of military equipments used by Indian army.
