Every child is an individual with a varied and vast potential. We, at DAV respect the talent that is hidden within each child and provide them a proper platform to showcase their talents. A series of activity is planned diligently to help the students achieve this. A sense of self- confidence is instigated in the young minds by involving them in various activities. and make them develop social skills.
Annual day forms an integral part of the school’s activities. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity. Various cultural programs carefully intertwined with the set theme is organized by the teachers and well executed by the students, aimed at bringing out the talents in them. The successful toppers and proficiency prize winners are honoured by awarding trophy and certificate. The Guest of Honour, the parents, the students and alumni – witness the whole program and encourage all the students.
20.06.2024 – VARSHARAMBH :
“It’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings” – A special havan was conducted. Class leaders of classes 3 – 10 lead their respective classes teachers by reading out their resolutions and expressed commitment towards fulfilling them.

Our school’s 31st Annual Day program was held at D.A.V. Senior Secondary School (Boys) Mogappair. Dr. Karpagam Damodharan, Dean of optometry, Agarwals eye Hospital, Chennai was the chief guest. The Address by Shri. Yogesh Kalia, convenor, gave DAV an overview. Smt. Bhuvaneshwari G, Principal, presented the school annual report. Theme: Aniruddha Abhivriddhi

Our school celebrated 29th Annual Day on 28th October 2022 at Narada Gana Sabha. Shri. R. Sankaranarayan, Senior Advocate, Additional Solicitor General of India was the Chief Guest for the event.
PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY
Prize distribution is a memorable, proud, special and most awaited event for every Institution and to a successful student it gives a sense of happiness and responsibility for fulfilling new commitments with dedication.
Mr. Ravi, Dean NIOS was the Chief Guest for the Annual Prize distribution ceremony that was held on 26th April to honour all the children of class12 who excelled in Academics in the Higher secondary school examination.
It was a memorable and proud event for both teachers and students.
The 26th Annual Day themed as “Bhoota Bhavya Bhavishya” was celebrated on 14th October 2019 at I.T.C Auditorium, D.A.V Senior Secondary School, Mogappair. The chief guest of the celebration was Shri. Sudarshan Ramabadran, Senior research fellow and administrative head at India Foundation’s Centre for Soft Power and the convener of Tamil Nadu Young thinker’s forum. The scintillating cultural programme was a feast for the audience.
The 25th Annual Day ( The Silver Jubilee Year ) was celebrated on 21st August, 2018 at I.T.C Auditorium, D.A.V Senior Secondary School, Mogappair. Smt. Aarthi Madusudhan founder of Governance Counts, was the Guest of Honour of the day. The cultural programme stunned the audience.

The Annual Athletic Meet” is a driving force that gives an appreciable impetus and awakes the athlete within every student.
The students show active participation in various sport activities and stage their talents. This helps them acquire lots of positive traits – physical and social development, academic excellence, self esteem, discipline, team spirit etc. A well organized show by the Physical Department aimed at the holistic development of the students. The spectacular march past, field and track events by higher secondary students and group relays by primary students grab the attention of every audience.
Sports Day 2022 was celebrated at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on 11th August 2022. Mr. Balamurugan, Winner – Mr. Asia (2016) Bodybuilding Team Coach of I.C.F was the Chief guest of our Annual Athletic Meet
The physical department with the support of the Technology, organized virtual sports day encouraging and involving the students in activities that would help them keep fit. Regular yoga practice, physical fitness classes and aerobics were conducted to extend physical and mental support to the students.
The 26th Annual sports meet was held on 30th July 2019 at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, Chennai with mind boggling gusto. The chief guest Shri. Shrl. Roy. K. Mani, SAF games gold medallist and Asian master’s athletic meet bronze medallist was invited to inaugurate the ceremony. A grand parade of gallant cadets of DAV group of schools was a feast to the spectators. The Takshasila house of our school won the overall championship.
The 25th Annual Sports day was held on 21st July, 2018 at D.A.V Senior Secondary School, Mogappair. The Chief Guest Shri. J. Balakrishnan, former Indian Basket ball player, Chief Regional Manager, IOB, Puducherry declared the Sports Meet Open.
