Every child is an individual with a varied and vast potential. We, at DAV respect the talent that is hidden within each child and provide them a proper platform to showcase their talents. A series of activity is planned diligently to help the students achieve this. A sense of self-confidence is instigated in the young minds by involving them in various activities and make them develop social skills.
27.08.2024 – KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI – was celebrated in a splendid colourful way. Students of Classes KG, I & II dressed up beautifully performed a dance for musical hymns.
29.08.23 – ONAM CELEBRATION
ONAM – One of the most popular festivals of India. People celebrate it with great zeal. Similarly, activities of this festival are famous for their grand scale and delicious food.
13.10.23 – NAVRATRI CELEBRATIONS
Navaratri was celebrated on 13th October which brought our tradition back
13-7-22 Special Assembly was conducted on the occasion of Guru Purnima. Children were given a taste of Gurukul system as classes were conducted under the tree.
22-7-22 UKG celebrated the Grandparents week.
9-8-22 Raksha bandhan was celebrated children where taken to higher classes and tied rakhi to elder boys
18-8-22 Janmashtami children came in colour dress and distributed sweets amongst themselves.
7-9-22 On occasion of Onam children brought flowers and with the help of teachers they made a beautiful pookolam.
23-9-22 Navratri UKG children did a small dance with Dandiya sticks
6-12-22 Sushrusha 4.0 Thanksgiving for supporting staff was done by children through a dance and a small memento for them
13-1-23 Pongal was celebrated children brought pongal and shared with their friends
21-1-23 Kids carnival- children had a wonderful day with magic shows games and play units
Inter DAV Yoga Competition:
This competition was held on 31.03.2021 at DAV Senior Secondary School, Mogappair. Four boys and three girls from our school participated. Winner – Veeradhanushri, Class 7B secured the 2nd place.
Teachers’ day
“ A Good Teacher can inspire hope, Ignite imagination and instill the love of learning ”. Remembering Dr.S.Radhakrishnan on his Birthday, Teachers’ day was celebrated on 5th September 2019 with gaiety. Our school pupil leader spoke about the unconditional contribution of the teachers to the society. The teachers entertained the students with group song and dance. Our Principal Mr. V. Ramana Velavan expressed his confidence in his team of teachers and wished them all the best.
Children’s day
Children’s day was celebrated in a fabulous manner on 14th Novermber, 2019. The teachers entertained the children by their graceful dance. The children’s joy knew no bounds as they witnessed their teachers in action on the stage. They clapped and swayed to the music, true to the words of the Father of the Nation, who said, “ If we wish to create a lasting peace, we must begin with children”. It was indeed a wonderful day for everyone to cherish.
Pongal Celebrations
Pongal, the Harvest Festival of Tamil Nadu was celebrated on 13th January, 2020 with great zest and zeal in our school campus. A Variety of cultural programmes performed by our Nursery children ushered in the spirit of Pongal Festival. The traditional attires, squeals and peals of laughter, the aroma of Pongal dessert together with the folk music gave a thorough feel of the rural aura during the celebration. Our convener Shri. Lalith Nangia and Financial Controller Shri. Yogesh Kalia graced the occasion with their presence. ‘Siragadikkum chutti pongal’, a special programme was broadcasted on DD Podhigai on 15th January 2020 in which our Anjali choir performed a mesmerising music show.
Kids Carnival
Kids Carnival was celebrated with great joy and pomp on 24th January, 2020 in the school campus. The school ground pulsated with scintillating music and lively children. The school wore a festive look with children of classes I, II and III enjoying their rides, games, popcorns and sugar candy. The children were awe-struck watching and incredible show of magic.
Teachers’ day
Teachers’ day was celebrated on 5th September 2018. Sarayu .M.K of class XII spoke on “ The Role of Teachers”. It was followed by the principals address. A documentary on Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was shown to the students.
Kids Carnival
Kids Carnival was celebrated on 25th January, 2019 in our school. The children of classes UKG to III enjoyed the day with Rides, Games and Music.
Pongal Festival
Festivals in India are an integral part of people‟s life. Festivals portray the rich cultural heritage of the country . To commemorate that Pongal was celebrated on 10th January, 2019 in the school campus in a grand manner. Our Nursery Children enthusiastically participated in the celebrations and enthralled the audience with a variety programme. Our convener Shri Lalit Nangia graced the occasion with his presence.
