Keeping this in mind our students were taken on educational trips.
Students of classes IV & V were taken to Rail Museum, Villivakkam, on 03.08.18. The miniature models of trains and solar panels and the working model of rainwater harvesting system exhibited in the building attracted the children the most. It created awareness on conserving the environment among children. It was indeed a pleasure trip for the children.
Students of classes VI, VII & VIII were taken to Agriculture farm Allinjivakkam – Sholavaram, Chennai.
*To combine recreation with education Students of classes IX and X were taken to Hyderabad. The students enjoyed the trip.
* Students of classes XI and XII had the opportunity to visit Kodaikanal to have a respite from monotony. The trip was a memorable one The cherished memories of field trips will remain indelible in the minds of each and every student.
Trips and excursions help students learn through visual experience and are an interesting way to explore things. They not only take us out of the monotonous schedule but are a great way of reinforcing classroom knowledge.
The following trips created memories of a lifetime for our students and staff.
Students of Std. IV & V were taken to Government Museum, Egmore, on 6th February, 2020. The students were exposed to the rich culture of India. This helped the children to gain more knowledge.
A Field Trip to Dakshin Chitra was organized for the Students of Std. VI ,VII & VIII on 15th February, 2020. It was an educative trip as the children were exposed to architecture of various cultures of South India.
Students of Std. IX & X had the opportunity to visit the hill station, Wayanad. Days spent in the lap of nature was full of fun and adventure.
As quoted, every year our school arranges an educational tour to various places. This academic year 2022-2023, students of class 10 were taken to Mysore to explore the scenic beauty of the historical place.
It was a two days fun trip wherein they visited Chaamundeshwari temple, Mysore Palace, Brindavan Garden, Mysore Zoo, River Sangam & Sultan’s tomb and the sightseeing they enjoyed will remain golden forever in their hearts. Students relished the scrumptious food and cosy stay in “Hotel President”, a three starred hotel.
Even though, it was only for a short span of time, the memories were long lasting to be carved in our young minds. This trip was a different form of education for our students because, education is not the preparation for life but life itself.
